Technology - Frame Length & Wheel Setup
Bont offers a range of frame lengths and wheel configurations so you can choose the setup that matches your speed, control and skating style. Longer frames give more stability and roll at high speed, while shorter frames feel quicker and easier to handle.
Below is an overview of our current frame lengths and their intended use.
13.2" – 4 x 110 mm (195 mm mounting)
A classic flat 4 x 110 mm speed setup.
• Great roll and stability
• Strong high-speed performance
• Versatile for road, track and marathon racing
13.0" – 3 x 125 mm (195 mm mounting)
Built for pure speed and long distances.
• Maximum roll and top speed
• Lighter feel with only three wheels
• Slightly slower acceleration than 110 mm wheels
12.8" – HiLow – 3 x 110 mm + 1 x 100 mm (195 mm mounting)
A mixed (hi-low style) configuration where the #2 wheel is smaller.
• Smaller #2 wheel lowers the center of gravity
• Improves stability and off-the-line acceleration
• Larger wheels still maintain speed and glide
12.0" – 4 x 100 mm (195 mm mounting)
A balanced and responsive flat setup.
• More agile than 4 x 110 mm
• Easier acceleration and control
• Great for developing skaters or those wanting stability without big wheels
10.8" – 4 x 90 mm (165 or 195 mm mounting)
Designed for kids or smaller skaters.
• Easier to control
• Quick acceleration
• Shorter frame boosts confidence and maneuverability
9.8" – 3 x 100 mm (155–165 mm mounting)
A lightweight junior 3-wheel setup.
• Very agile and easy to handle
• Ideal for kids transitioning to bigger wheels
• Helps build proper stride mechanics
Choosing the Right Frame Length
• Longer frames (12.0–13.2") – stability, roll and high-speed efficiency
• Shorter frames (9.8–10.8") – agility, quick starts, ideal for kids
• Bigger wheels (110–125 mm) – speed, glide and efficiency
• Smaller wheels (90–100 mm) – control, confidence and easy handling
